Of shaped oval form, raised on four scroll and shell feet, with panelled body and acanthus scroll side handles, the domed panelled cover surmounted by a bud finial issuing from an acanthus calyx, one side engraved front and back with an acanthus scroll and foliate swag cartouche enclosing later crests and monograms within foliate scroll mantling, with plated liner, marked under base and on cover--length over handles 16 3/4in. (42.5cm.)
