Of inverted pear-shaped form, the shoulder chased with foliate scrolls and flowerheads above an engraved coat-of-arms and, on the other side, a crest within foliate scroll cartouches, with acanthus scroll spout and overhead scroll and leather handle, the hinged domed cover chased with similar decoration and surmounted by a bud finial, engraved on the back, circa 1820 with another coat-of-arms, the stand on three shell and scroll supports, joined by an openwork foliate scroll and shell apron, with central circular burner, marked under base and stand--14 1/2in. (36.8cm.) high
