Of shaped oval form, on spreading oval foot chased with a band of fluting, the lower body chased with flutes, the reeded acanthus scroll handles issuing from lion masks, the everted gadrooned rim with anthemion and foliate shells at intervals, the domed cover with similar fluting and surmounted by a handle formed of two eagles issuing from an elaborate acanthus calyx, marked on body, cover and handle--length over handles17 1/2in.
