A NOMUKA SCHOOL KOZUKA
MID-EDO PERIOD, SIGNED TSU JIMPO (OTSU JIMPO [1720-1761])

The plate is of shakudo nanako with a very high relief design of a wasp with gold wings and copper body on a gold broom handle; the twigs of the broom are in shakudo--length 9.7cm., width 1.5cm., thickness 8mm.

Double wood storage boxes. Inner box with inscription by Homma Junji (Kunzan), dated Showa 56 (1981).

Accompanied by a tokubetsu kicho certificate issued by the N.B.T.H.K., no. 234, and dated Showa 52 (1977).
