A JINGO SCHOOL TSUBA
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1825)

The iron plate is of elongated, four-lobed shape (mokko) with a hammered and textured surface. The face is inlaid with a sedge hat in copper with silver tie cords and a money bag in brass with carved surface and silver tie cords. The reverse is decorated with the hammer of Daikoku in brass with surface carving--height 8.4cm., width 7.6cm., thickness 4.5mm.
