Attributed to Elizabeth Dieterly (1798-circa 1871), Haycock or Bedminster Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and dated 1831
Rectangular, centering a red, yellow, blue and brown portrait bust of George Washington in a similarly colored stylized garlanded surround and flanked above and below by red and yellow stylized flowers as well as red ink-drawn calligraphic motifs, all above a red-outlined heart inscribed, "This picture/belongs to me/Anna Ruck Nov-/ember in the year 1831" [trans.], and enclosed by a red striped surround
