LONDON, 1809, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL STORR

The vase-shaped body raised on four shell feet headed by acanthus and terminating in octagonal pads, the lower part of the body chased with flutes below and applied mid-rim and a gadrooned rim with anthemion at intervals, with two reeded foliate handles terminating in lion masks, with removable waisted collar with gadrooned, foliate scroll and anthemion rim and cylindrical liner, engraved front and back with a coat-of-arms within an elaborate foliate scroll cartouche and above with a crest, the collar and liner engraved with the same crest, fully marked--9¾in. (23.3cm.) high
