The body of ovoid form on spreading circular foot chased with bands of foliate scrolls on a matted ground, the body elaborately cast and chased with panels of classical masks with winged horses and depictions of the Continents and Four Seasons surrounded by foliate scrolls and dolphins on a matted ground, with cast caryatid and foliate scroll handle, the basin of circular form with an egg-and-dart rim, the border cast and chased with panels of classical masks and depictions of the Arts and Sciences, the raised center with a classical female figure surrounded by a band of anthemion and panels depicted Earth, Wind, Fire and Water, marked on basin and ewer--12¼in.
