cover -- (8 Dec.) home-made envelope of brown paper to U.S.A. "VIA CLIPPER", bearing 25c. pair, $1 and $2 tied by Kowloon 10-30 c.d.s., the Detained h.s. tying the 25c. pair, Victoria backstamp, fine. According to an eyewitness account, the attack on Kowloon began on the morning of 8th December at about 8 o clock; this cover managed to cross the harbour on one of the last ferries, not making the return journey to the airport until after the liberation.
