Shown seated in dhyanasana on top of a lotus-pod encased in rows of lotus petals rising above lotus leaves and buds issuing from swirling waves, wearing crisply moulded robes exposing a wan emblem moulded in relief on the chest, the face with contemplative expression below spiky snail curls surrounding a smooth, rounded usnisa, covered in a glaze of milk-white tone, the back impressed with a Dehua kiln mark and a potter's mark, Xu Yu Yuan zhi (chips)--14 1/4in. (36.2cm.) high
