The goddess of Mercy shown standing atop a coiled dragon headed carp rising from waves, holding a ruyi sceptre in her left hand, her right hand hidden within the sleeve of her long robes, her face carved with a compassionate expression and her hair dressed in long knotted plaits and a coiled topknot held with hairpins, the stone ranging from pale greenish-white to bright apple and dark green--12 7/8in.
