The shaped terminal carved with a bat in flight suspending a ribboned musical stone above a panel containing lingzhi fungus connected to the curved shaft by a reticulated peach group, further decorated in low relief with a jardiniere supported by clouds to the mid-section and a further bat holding grasping a floral sprig at the end, the stone of even flecked tone with several pale russet inclusions incorporated into the carving--16¼in.
