Designed by G.L Watson, Margarita was built in 1900 by Scott S.B. Engine Co., Ltd. This Margarita was the third craft of that name owned by A. J. Drexel, the Philadelphia banker affiliated with the Morgan interests. She was one of the most luxurious of the many luxury yachts of that era. She appears to have been in both the Russian and British Navies in World War I and thereafter.
