A Pond Model Of A Sailing Dinghy

A large scale, sloop rigged pond model, built up in plank-on-frame construction, with the hull planked over bent frames, and the deck fashioned in eight pieces. The model is painted with white topsides, red waterline and a green bottom. The deck of the model is natural, finished in a satin varnish. The interior of the model is painted a pale green. The model is fitted with a steel drop centerboard fitted in a centerboard trunk with a block and tackle system. The rudder is also steel and is fitted aft of a skeg. Either side of the centerboard trunk is supported with thwarts, and the floor is fitted with planked floorboards. The model is well detailed including: stem fitting, chocks, cleats, fairleads, partners, turnbuckles, turning blocks, tiller, etc. The model is rigged with a mast and boom, each fitted with a mast track and other details (sails missing). Displayed on a simple wood base.
