Slightly torn label. Level base of neck
Tasting notes: Served in double-magnum at a dinner at Chateau Loudenne during the 1996 harvest. Still very deep in colour and thick and oily in texture. Initially dumb on the nose but opened up slowly to reveal a sweet and unctious bouquet with notes of roasted meat. Very succulent and forward on the palate with soft tannins and generous rounded texture. Concentrated and warm. A hint of liquorice. Excellent sweet finish. Quite delicious. T.H.
