There were no silver Dollar coins produced for Canada in the early years of the 20th century, although excessively rare patterns exist in silver and lead dated 1911. The reverse design of the fantasy modern pattern pieces offered here are very similar to that of the 1911 coins, although the modern 'old head' portrait of Victoria, adapted by Donald Golder never featured on Canadian coins.
Nevertheless, these modern pieces seek to emulate the 36mm. diameter design, quality and dimensions of later Canada Dollar coinage.
