Most authorities agree that there is no definite way of distinguishing official issues of these pieces from local contemporary copies. Both circulated for 10 years on an equal basis after the government tried to withdraw them, so collectors usually regard them as of equal value. The countermark on this specimen is of the correct shape and in the correct position.
