A Kelsterbach copper-gilt mounted needlecase and whistle
Circa 1770, the mounts contemporary
Naturally painted and modelled in the form of a lady's arm, her hand holding a bunch of grapes pierced to form a whistle, with a puce bracelet about her wrist and a striped sleeve with a white lace cuff, the flat oval cover embellished with diaper ornament (very slight chip to grapes, slight wear to enamels of grapes and bracelet, wear to gilding of clasp of bracelet and at cuff, small minor area of grazing to wrist)
