No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VA… 显示更多 GEORGE III SILVER ATLAS FIRE AND LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY FIREMEN'S BADGES MARK OF NUTTING & HENNELL, LONDON, 1808 elongated octagonal with a central repousse depiction of Atlas supporting the world on his shoulders, above the legend ATLAS COMP'Y - 15.9cm (6¼ in). The Altas Fire and Life Assurance Company was founded in 1808 and merged with the Royal Exchange in 1959. Beside the examples offered here, Henham and Sharp note the existance of badges number 1 and 19 as well as numbers 8, 12, 14, 15 and 17 which have been recorded but whose whereabouts was unknown at the time their book was published.
