Sold with this lot is a note inscribed 'Given to Caroline Mott by Augusta Maturin 1876...This swathing band was worked by the ladies of the French Court for the Dauphin & was bought of (sic) a Lady who was maid of honour to the Electress of Hesse Cassel'.
