The circular case with glazed door opening to a white-painted dial face with Roman chapter ring above a tapering throat with églomisé inset panel decorated with gilt foliage over the inscription L. CURTIS above a gilt decorated woman with an anchor, all within a spiral beaded frame flanked by brass spandrels over a box base with églomisé inset panel decorated with two ships centering an eagle above the inscription PERRY'S VICTORY enclosed within gilt decoration surrounded by a similar spiral beaded frame, on a gilded tapering base with applied spherules over an acorn pendant
