L'ECOLE NO 41
L'Ecole No 41 started producing premium handcrafted varietal wines in 1983 in the historic Frenchtown School in Lowden, Washington. Their original focus for grape varieties consisted of Merlot and Semillon; however, they have since added smaller quantities of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc to their repertoire. Their Seven Hills Vineyard Merlot has ranged from 100 Merlot to a blend of at least 75 Merlot/25 Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1996 Barrel Select of 68 Cabernet and 32 Merlot was made from grapes that survived the winter's Arctic freeze while the vertical of Pepper Bridge Apogee is also a meritage blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
