Founded by one of New Zealand wines most influential patriachs, Mate Brajkovich, Kumeu River has now become a leading figure in the production of quality wine in New Zealand. Situated in the Kumeu suburb of Auckland, Michael Brajkovich MW has consistently produced wines which show great complexity, subtlety and sophistication. In particular his Chardonnay's have set an example to all other producers that illustrates a viable alternative to simple oak and fruit techniques. Not suprisingly, the wines have won high praise both overseas and in New Zealand.
