The case with handle to large bevelled viewing glass to the top set with push repeat button, similar glasses to the sides, out-set chamfered angles to the front, solid rear door with shuttered keyholes for wind and hand set and slides for regulation and strike/silent, silvered engraved arched dial signed James McCabe Royal Exchange London 2833, the Roman chapter ring with blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds at XII, the twin chain fusee movement with maintaining power to the going fusee, large gilt platform with plain gilt balance to underslung lever escapment, five pillars, strike on gong affixed to the plain back-plate engraved James McCabe Royal Exchange London 2833; with brass-fitted mahogany travelling case with recessed handle to the top, two-piece sliding cover to the front inset with a bone signature cartouche, solid rear door openeing to reveal the baize-lined fitted interior
