The case with Gothic arched handle to the foliate engraved top with later push repeat button, out-set concave-moulded columns to the angles flanking glazed side panels engraved with medieval figures within scolling foliage, the base plate numbered 21992, solid rear door with spring catch, the white enamel Roman chapter disc signed Dent 33 Cockspur St. London with subsidiary seconds at XII and pierced gold spade hands, within a gilt mask engraved with foliage and a squirrel on a hatched ground, the movement with five pillars and twin chain fusees, underslung lever escapement, strike/repeat on bell on the back-plate with strike/silent lever to the top left corner, the centre engraved Dent. 33, Cockspur St. London 21992
