Wearing a wide-brimmed black hat with pink roses, puce-edged pink coat and breeches, puce-edged brown waistcoat over loose white shirt, taking a cutting with a knife in his right hand from a branch held in his left, standing by a tree-stump with a brown watering-can at his feet on a circular grassy shallow mound base (knife-blade, left thumb, tip of cutting, handles and spout of watering-can replacements, minor restoration to chipping to part of hat brim, restoration to tree, very small area of restoration to hem of coat at back, minute chipping to flowers)
