Circa 1755-9, blue crowned lion mark, incised //K mark
Painted with scattered flowers between borders with shaped bands of purple diaper ornament edged with yellow scrolling foliage and pierced scrolls, the turned wood handle fitted into the mouth of a monster's head enriched with puce and on a waisted octagonal terminal, the domed cover with scattered flowers and a similar border about a pierced circular aperture, gilt line rims (cover with hairline crack from rim, very slight wear to gilding, monster's head with flake to puce enamel)
