A formal court robe for a high ranking Imperial Consort,
the yellow silk ground finely embroidered with nine gilt dragons amongst cloud bands and bats above a turbulent sea-wave border, with double sleeve bands and shoulder epaulettes of midnight blue silk, similary worked, trimmed with black satin bindings woven in gilt strip, mid 19th century, possible alterations to side seams, epaulettes and sleeves reset circa 1900
