The Book of the Dead papyrus fragment contains the vignette from Chapter 125 which depicts the 42 Assessors of the Dead in an elaborate shrine with open doors. Each is addressed by name, but the register below in which the commital of a specific sin would be denied is now lost. In this instance each assessor is shown as a mummiform figure with the ostrich feather of Maat (truth) on the head.
