In the style of Paul de Lamerie; baluster form on circular foot, the body chased with shells and flowers against a matted ground, centering a rococo cartouche engraved with a coat-of-arms surmounted by a putto, the scroll handle with finely cast leaf and shellwork, the domed cover with conforming chased decoration and chair-back thumb piece, marked on body and cover bezel
