A pair of Sevres-pattern dark-blue-ground vases and covers
In the Empire Revival Style, Painted by Anotolet, Last quarter 19th Century
Each with steeply-domed cover with berry finial, above the waisted neck richly-gilt with a pair of seated griffins amongst scrolling foliage, the tapering body headed by a band of laurel above a panel to each side, one painted with a scene from the Napoleonic Campaigns, the other with a landscape view, each within gilt foliate border, each with a pair of double swan-head handles, terminating with a female mask with winged helmet, on spreading foot and square base supported on four winged lions, with iron-red Sèvres Manufacture marks, one cover restored
