The published Naval General Service Medal rolls confirm Frederick Devon as a Midshipman aboard the Brevdageren for the Boat Service action of 21.3.1813, one of just three recipients of this clasp recorded on the Admiralty roll.

For the capture of the Danish Gunboats Jonge Troutman and Liebe in the River Elbe, Germany by the boats of H.M. Ships Blazer and Brevdageren.
