Finely engraved with a Masonic symbol, composed of a drafter's compass and square centering a star, above ribbon-tied sprays of flowers and oak branches, the opposing side with an 'FL' monogram above further berried sprays, the lower section cut with narrow flutes, the interior incrusted with a bust-length portrait of General Jackson in profile

It is interesting to note that in the Presidential race of 1831 an anti-Masonic party was formed and was defeated by Jackson.
