This model was most likely designed for Minton by Mrs. Wilbraham who also made several small decorative items for Wedgwood in the mid 19th century. See Paul Atterbury and Maureen Batkin, The Dictionary of Minton, London, 1990, p. 242. Also see a Private Collection, Sotheby's, New York, 11 March, 1989, lots 275 and 286 for similiarly moulded examples.
