The 1st and 2nd Cape (Mounted) Yeomanry:
Raised originally as a mobile striking force for service on the Eastern Frontier, the C.M.Y. greatly distinguished itself at the storming and capture of Moirosi's Stronghold on 8.4.1879 and took a number of casualties.
