2nd Lieutenant W.M. Staniforth, an R.F.C. Pilot with No.28 Reserve Squadron, was born at Hackenthorpe, Derby and lived at Beaconsfield. Killed while flying at Stoney Stratford, he is buried at Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire (Airmen Died in the Great War 1914-1918, Hobson refers).
