Apparently unpublished. -- "De la Mathmatique - De la Fortification - Des attaques des places" [France, 18th century]. 29 leaves, folio, each work separately paginated, the first work apparently unfinished, copiously illustrated with ink diagrams and drawings of fortifications, with 12 loosely inserted sheets of sketches and notes, original plain wrappers, worn. A finely illustrated manuscript containing three related treatises, apparently unpublished, on the science of fortification. The second and third sections and the inserted leaves include several finished ink drawings of complex military fortifications, of which 2 full-page and one double-page. (2)
