painted and gilt with a central scene of birds perched in a pine tree above peonies issuing from rockwork, the well with alternating panels of prunus, pomegranates, peonies and lychee, all within a border of butterfly and insect cartouches on a ground of demi-lotus heads -- 14in. (36.8cm.) wide, Kangxi, (hairline crack to interior, minor chips and fritting to rim, some gilt and enamel rubbing).
