A set of six Chinese buff pottery models of equestrian musicians
each figure seated on the back of a saddled horse standing four square on a rectangular base, four musicians wearing tunics and hoods and variously playing pipes, cymbals and flutes, the other two female musicians wearing long flowing robes and with their hair pulled up in top knots, traces of red and black pigments remaining -- 13in. (33cm.) high max, Tang Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear).
