A silver and shibayama inlaid ivory box
decorated in mother of pearl, tortoiseshell, coral and stained ivory with birds in flight and perched on blossoming prunus branches beside a meandering stream, the sides relief decorated with peony sprays issuing from riverbanks -- 10in. (25.5cms) x 5in. (12.7cms), 19th century, sealed, (ivory plaque slightly loose).
