Circular, on spreading dentilated circular foot, applied at the rim with a band of dentilation under an everted gadrooned rim with shells at intervals, with two lion mask and reeded acanthus handles, the domed cover chased with a band of dentilation and with conforming handle issuing from a calyx of acanthus, the side engraved with a coat-of-arms, the cover twice with a crest, marked on foot, cover and handle--length over handles 17½in. (44.5cm.); the stand on four paw feet headed by scrolls and shells, the gadrooned rim with acanthus and scroll handles, the center with beaded platform, engraved each side with another coat-of-arms and helm within foliate scroll mantling, marked under base--18 3/8in.
