In the form of an open folding fan; black lacquer ground; the fan-leaf decorated in gold and aokin togidashi-e with details in gold foil mosaic; the other surfaces dense gold nashiji; the fan-sticks, fan-guards and rims silver

Autumn grasses, including ominaeshi [valerian], kikyo [Chinese bellflower] and wild chrysanthemums, festooned with spiders' webs, one web with a large red and gold striped spider
