each with crowned mask and scrolled cresting above a fluted frieze, on a foliate-carved back between mask-capped shaped uprights terminating in hoof and claw feet respectively, with foliate-carved seats, one of serpentine outline, the other with ripple moulded edge, one on eagle supported front uprights, the other modelled as lions, on scrolled feet, each signed to the revered J. Masson Julliet 1901
