This planter was supplied by Syrie Maugham for the DeWitt Wallace home, named 'The Castle' by the locals, on a wooded bluff overlooking Bryam Lake in Mt. Kisco, New York, circa 1946-1947. The decoration of rooms for Mrs. DeWitt Wallace was Syrie Maugham's largest post war commission.
