An oak panelled chest, possibly Scottish, late 17th/early 18th century
with a triple panel hinged lid and channelled moulded frieze above three panels (probably sycamore), carved with lozenge and quatrefoil foliate detail, above a twin panelled drawer, on channelled stile feet, branded twice W.H., drawer re-lined -- 44in. (112cm.) wide, 28in. (71cm.) high, 19in. (48cm.) deep
