CAST AFTER THE MODEL BY LEOPOLD BERNHARD BERNSTAMM, FRENCH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Leopold Berhard Bernstamm was born in Riga in 1859 and received his training as a sculptor at the Academies of St. Petersburg, Florence and Paris. He settled in Paris and became the director of the Muse Grevin. (Pierre Kjellberg, Les Bronzes du XIXe Sicle, Paris, 1989, pp.93-94)
