A stage shirt of gold, purple, indigo, green and red imitation silk in a paisley pattern with deep collar and ruched sleeves and cuffs, labelled IC Costume Co. Hollywood, California; accompanied by a colour machine-print photograph of Elvis on stage in 1972 (printed later) wearing a shirt of a similar style [not identical] -- 12x9in. (30.5x22.8cm.); and a loose-fitting shirt of white crêpe with full sleeves, deep collar and cuffs, (torn at the neck); accompanied by a colour machine-print photograph of Presley wearing a similar style shirt in a different colour circa 1968 (printed later) -- 6x7in. (15.2x17.8cm.); and a letter concerning the provenance from Charlie Hodge, Presley's stage director stating that ...This paisley gold blue and purple...shirt was worn by Elvis both on and off stage during 1971-2. This white shirt with ballon (sic) sleeves was worn by Elvis in the late 60s. I believe the front of the shirt at the neck area was torn by an excited fan.. (5)
