The pieces are situated at Sèvres. Although Albert Dammouse was trained at the factory, he shared a workshop with his brother Edouard in the town from 1886. Influenced by Asian arts, the monochromatic decoration was replaced with flowers, foliage and algae. Mounted pieces by Cardeilhac after a design by Lucien Bonvallet are rare, and usually made to be shown at Salons or exhibitions, as glass or ceramic works by Auguste Delaherche, Emile Gallé and Maurice Dufrêne. The "ancolie" leaf pattern can be also found on the chocolate pot included as lot 163 in this sale.
