A pair of Japanese bronze temple vases
of flaring baluster shape on spreading feet, decorated in high relief with applied figures of standing Buddhas behind altar tables with vases of lotus, flanked by further standing deities above gambolling karashishi and crouching attendants, the necks decorated with stiff leaf shaped panels, bands of stylised key fret and tokugawa mon -- 26¼in. (66.7cm) high, 19th Century, (minor old wear).
