Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, the rounded rectangular top and hinged sloping fall-flap inlaid with flowers and a basket within a shaped panel, enclosing a fitted interior with a green leather-lined writing-surface, four small drawers and a sliding green velvet-lined well, above a pair of short frieze-drawers and a long drawer, each with a later lock stamped twice 'PATENT', the sides with conforming shaped panels, the corners with foliate-entwined mounts, on tapering cabriole legs flanking a shaped apron, with pierced C-scroll and rockwork sabots, stamped 'JME' and 'L. MALLE', restorations, the interior drawers partially reveneered, partially remounted
